    Lived in the house at 29 seconds. My master bedroom is bigger in my country home. I was the first occupant it was brand new. I live in the USA. It was wonderful seeing it the house has held up marvelous,, I used to walk 200 feet to the chipper van queue in the rain and cold. I was the only one willing to do it. my older brother could have done it but he never did.1967

    you showed me my old rental from 1967 we were the first occupants. I see the 8-foot tall shrubberies that were not in the roundabout. I always thought homes would be built on that property. at the time my dad was a passenger on a doomsday plane daily and I didn't even know about it.

    Lakenheath is a dreg in society full of rough sarcastic and God awful people that have nothing better to do than stare constantly at you and look down at you just because your a younger generation, shameful and disrespectful behaviour, the only good thing about this place is the local hero DARK STEEL

    • @tamberlygranite4825
      @tamberlygranite4825 7 лет назад

      Dave hello I lived there from 1970 to 1973, from there we went to Little Rock Air Force Base in Arkansas, then we went to Aviano Air Force Base in Italy, then to Dyess Texas, then we went to Williams Air Force Base in Arizona and our last one was Pope Air Force Base in North Carolina. I sure do miss being an Air Force brat.

      Hey Tamberly. That is awesome that you were born there! Sounds like a lot of places you traveled to. Eglin AFB in Florida and also Grissom in Indiana for me. England was the best I think.

    We lived in an old (very old) schoolhouse in Beck Row back in 1962-63 when my dad was stationed at Lakenheath. My mother loved living in England and corresponded with several local friends she had made for many years.

      +Janetlwil Hi Janet - Wow, that must have been cool where you lived. We were in Beck Row for a couple years I think in 1970-71 maybe. What was it like living in that building? Is it still there?

    • @Blackieie
      @Blackieie 8 лет назад

      It was at least a hundred years old when we lived in it so I hope it was torn down a long time ago. I remember there was some kind of chalk/writing boards on the walls in one of the rooms and we had a lot of fun "writing" on the walls.

    I'll bet windshield wiper blades sell briskly in England. I've flown into Ft. Walton Beach, FL several times in my little 172 and there is a special corridor you MUST use to be legal when landing there to avoid all the traffic from Eglin AFB. Interesting video.

    • @simonjones9157
      @simonjones9157 8 лет назад

      Lol I'm English , grew up round there yer we noticed many Americans struggled to understand the side of the road they need to be on ,to many times when some enormous American truck blissfully driving down the middle of the road strait towards me😆

      I live in Greece these days it's quite confusing for me getting used to driving on the same side as you do in the states, and looking for traffic lights that hang 20ft above ur head and not just on the side of the road .😆
